PhysioFunction works with clients on a one-to-one basis in our clinics or in their own homes, providing specialist neurological rehabilitation tailored to each individual. Our aim is to help people maximise their independence in everyday life and support meaningful, long-term neurological recovery.
PhysioFunction is committed to clinical excellence, high-quality service, and fairness in our relationships with clients. We also recognise and respect the vital work of medical professionals within the NHS and aim to build on the foundations they establish to further support our clients’ neurological recovery.
Our team of highly trained specialist physiotherapists are experts in neurological rehabilitation and the treatment of a wide range of neurological conditions. They provide one-to-one treatment programmes carefully tailored to each person’s needs, helping clients progress towards improved movement, function, and independence.
Neurological conditions encompass a broad spectrum of disorders affecting the nervous system, including the brain, spinal cord, and peripheral nerves. These conditions can lead to a variety of symptoms that impact movement, sensation, cognition, and overall quality of life, making specialised neurological rehabilitation essential for optimal recovery.
Neurological disorders can be broadly categorised based on the part of the nervous system affected:
Central Nervous System (CNS) Disorders involve the brain and spinal cord. Examples include Stroke, Multiple Sclerosis (MS), Parkinson’s disease, and Spinal Cord Injury (SCI).
Peripheral Nervous System (PNS) Disorders affect the nerves outside the brain and spinal cord. Examples include Guillain-Barré Syndrome and Peripheral Neuropathy.
To support neurological recovery, PhysioFunction offers a range of state-of-the-art rehabilitation technologies, many of which are not widely available through the NHS. These advanced tools complement the treatments provided by our Physiotherapists and Rehabilitation Therapists to enhance outcomes.
PhysioFunction is able to devote the time required to fully address our clients’ needs. We have extensive experience supporting neurological recovery and helping clients make meaningful improvements long after their initial illness or injury—sometimes even years later.
By working with PhysioFunction to maximise independence in daily activities, many of our clients regain confidence, energy, and physical ability, enabling them to participate more fully in both work and leisure.
